In-person at Central London (EC2) office with flexibility to work remotely 1 day per week

The Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated Investment Fellowto join our team during an active investment phase. The individual’s primary focus will be investments and post-investment support.
You will work directly with our General Partners and investment team on sourcing, evaluating and supporting early-stage startups.
This is a unique opportunity for a versatile, driven individual looking to pivot into or advance their career in venture capital. You will gain direct exposure to how early-stage venture investment decisions are made and how founders are supported post-investment.
What You’ll Do:
Deal Sourcing and Evaluation
- Proactively source high-potential startups and build founder relationships
- Manage deal pipeline database
- Attend pitch meetings and conduct first-stage assessments
- Contribute to internal investment memos and participate in internal deal debates
Diligence & Portfolio Support
- Assist with market due diligence (market mapping, customer research, financial analysis)
- Assist with founder due diligence (in-person meetings, reference calls)
Post-investment Portfolio Support
- Support portfolio companies with requests and founder introductions
- Track key metrics and progress against budgets
- Compiling portfolio updates for periodic LP reporting
Market Research
- Help refine and expand Outward’s investment theses
- Identify emerging trends
