As part of our strategic growth in North America, we are seeking a dynamic and well-connected Director of Innovation and Investments to identify, evaluate, and execute high-value business development, partnerships, investments and acquisitions that strengthen Yuwell’s U.S. market leadership.
Position Summary
The Director of Innovation and Investments (U.S. Market) will lead all aspects of acquisition and investment strategy for Yuwell in the United States. This executive will leverage deep industry networks and commercial insight across consumer-facing MedTech, predominantly Respiratory, Diabetes Care, Telehealth, and related healthcare sectors to source, assess, and engage acquisition or partnership targets. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, dealmaker, and relationship builder who understands the financial, operational, and technological dynamics of medical device and digital health businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Yuwell’s U.S. acquisition strategy in alignment with corporate growth objectives.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with founders, CEOs, and investors in innovative MedTech, diagnostics, and digital health companies.
- Conduct strategic and financial evaluations of target companies — including market potential, technology fit, and operational synergies.
- Monitor U.S. healthcare and technology trends to anticipate emerging acquisition opportunities.
- Represent Yuwell at industry events, conferences, and investor forums to expand the company’s acquisition pipeline.
- Prepare valuation models, investment summaries, and presentations for executive review and board consideration.
- Lead negotiations, term sheet development, and integration planning for approved transactions.
- Partner with global finance, legal, and technical due diligence teams to manage all stages of the M&A process.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate development, M&A, investment banking, or private equity within medical devices, MedTech, or healthcare technology.
- Proven track record of sourcing and closing successful transactions ranging from early-stage innovations to mature business acquisitions.
- Strong financial acumen and experience conducting valuation and due diligence on healthcare or technology assets.
- Broad industry network across Respiratory, Diabetes Care, Telehealth, and connected health technologies.
- Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to build trust with entrepreneurs, investors, and corporate stakeholders.
- Engineering/healthcare educational background preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree in business, finance, or biomedical engineering preferred.
