Ubiquity follows a “nerdy and early” approach to investing: backing technical founders at the very start, often pre-incorporation, building software that reaches into the real physical world. In a screen-obsessed world, Ubiquity focuses on “software beyond the screen” startups, which include startups that apply AI and software to physical problems and systems that you can touch, hear, and feel. This includes software on cows (Halter), software in space (Loft Orbital), software in schoolbuses (BusRight), software in medical devices (Ketryx), software for reconfigurable ML chips (ElastixAI) and more.

We are looking for an associate to work directly with Sunil to unlock the next phase of great “software beyond the screen” investments. Ideal candidates will have several years of experience at either (1) a technology company/startup in a product/engineering role or (2) a venture capital firm. This is a full-time role, based in the San Francisco Bay Area, and candidates must have US work authorization.
