Summary:
Works with Rex Health Ventures to create investment memorandum for executive team and complete in-depth analysis of investment opportunties.
Responsibilities:
1. Creates investment memorandum for executive team, an in-depth analysis of investment opportunities
2. Conducts market landscape, competitor and exit analyses.
3. Interfaces with portfolio companies for Rex Health Ventures.
4. Creates and analyzes financial models in Excel.
5. Screens potential investment opportunities. Manages deal flow database to track incoming investment opportunities.
6. Organizes due diligence for potential investment opportunities.
7. Works closely with Rex Health Ventures Managing Director for Fund operations.
8. Creates materials for weekly Investment Committee meetings with UNC Rex Executive team.
9. Supports overall diligence process
10. Maintains analysis of portfolio performance.
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
● Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Professional Experience Requirements:
● Requires three (3) years of experience in venture capital, investment banking, investment/asset management or private equity.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
- Intellectually curious with a strong interest in healthcare.
- Strong financial analysis/modeling skills and highly proficient with Excel
- Comfortable working as part of a small, performance-oriented team
- Must be able to work independently and collaboratively with strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- High level of initiative and motivation combined with exceptional ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence without grammatical errors. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
