Nextgen Ventures is a well-known and very active impact investor in healthcare technology. Nextgen Ventures works closely with Noaber, one of the founders of Nextgen Ventures. Nextgen Ventures finances innovative companies that contribute to the transformation of healthcare to integrated, personal, knowledge- and outcome-based healthcare in the Netherlands and Europe. This is necessary to guarantee the quality, experience, accessibility and affordability of healthcare in the future. Nextgen Ventures invests in companies that really make an impact on the healthcare system, patients and healthcare professionals, but also have a solid business model behind them.

Nextgen Ventures is looking for an: Investment Associate.

You are familiar with the broad field of healthcare (for example from your studies) and have a passion for strategy, discovering new technologies, science and companies (start-ups, scale-ups). You have a strong character and can independently build substantive relationships with international companies and fellow investors. For this, you preferably have three to five years of work experience in a business role such as consultancy, at a scale-up or with another investor.

By Job

You participate in the deal flow screening and work with your colleagues on investments in a new and existing portfolio. In addition, you actively work on your own (existing) network of co-investors and potential new investments. You evaluate companies based on their team, strategy, impact and business potential and also keep a close eye on developments in the domains in which investments are made. You can report on this clearly and in a balanced manner.

The Culture

There is room for you to grow in the field of investing due to the presence of experienced investment professionals in the team. You are quickly able to make independent decisions and thus take responsibility for your interpretation of the role. The working language is Dutch, but the work is certainly also international. Dutch as a native language is not necessary, but B2 level is a minimum.

The office is beautifully situated in the middle of the forest in Ede where there is space to exercise, walk and even mountain bike. You are flexible in where you do your work, but still come to the office at least three times a week to keep in touch with your colleagues and because of the delicious healthy lunch that awaits you there.
