KDB Silicon Valley LLC, a Venture Capital Subsidiary of the Korea Development Bank(“KDB”), aims to lead innovation through investment activity.

KDB is a government-owned bank based in South Korea and one of the largest banking and investment institutions in Korea. KDB has broadened its investment reach by establishing the first overseas VC subsidiary in Silicon Valley.

Founded in May 2021 and located in downtown Mountain View, KDB Silicon Valley LLC commenced its operations in November 2021. We focus on early-stage, cross-sector investments. Additionally, we allocate capital to other VC funds as LP investments.

Job Description

KDB Silicon Valley LLC is seeking an Associate at our Mountain View, CA location. As a key member of our team, the Associate will be responsible for managing investment assets, researching market trends, analyzing startup, preparing investment memo, coordination networking events and HQ communication.

In addition, The Investment Associate may be required to perform tasks outside of Investment activities as directed by the company.

Location : Onsite at Mountain View office

Start Date : Coordination

Compensation : Commensurate with experience, market competitive

Responsibilities

  • Assess and evaluate key pieces of diligence on selected investment opportunities
  • Managing investment assets including start-up investment and LP investment
  • Present promising investment opportunities to supervisor
  • Coordinate and supporting networking events
  • Assist supervisors for tasks related to company managements
  • Conduct research on the U.S. and Korean venture capital market
  • Engage in active communications with KDB HQ and submit requested reporting

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, science, finance, or a technology-focused field.
  • Previous experience in finance, consulting, start-up or investment environment preferred but not required
  • Bilingual preferred-English and Korean (fluent)
  • Proficiency in MS Office product

  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
