The Opportunity

We’re hiring an Investment Associate to support (and help shape) our investing activities across thesis development, sourcing, execution, and portfolio value creation. You’ll work directly with partners, take real ownership of workstreams, and help shape how we invest and how we operate.

This role is ideal for someone with 2-4 years of experience (IB / PE / growth equity / top-tier consulting) who combines analytical horsepower with intellectual curiosity about AI, a builder’s mindset, and the ambition to grow into a long-term investing career.

What You’ll Do

• Develop AI-led investment theses and market maps; identify high-conviction opportunities
• Source and engage founders through research-driven outreach and relationship building
• Build financial/operating models, valuation work, and scenario analysis
• Run key diligence workstreams (market, financial performance, customers, competitors)
• Draft crisp materials (investment memos, IC/partner updates)
• Support portfolio companies on targeted value creation initiatives and KPI tracking
• Contribute to building Intrepid’s “operating system” (processes, tools, culture)

What We’re Looking For

• 2-4 years experience (IB / PE / growth equity / top-tier consulting)
• Strong analytical judgment + financial modelling skills
• Clear communicator and strong writer; founder-credible presence
• High standards, low ego, bias to action; thrives in a small team
• Passion for technology/AI; growth-stage tech investing / operating experience and/or coding experience would be a plus
