At Hustle Fund, we believe that great founders look like anyone, and come from anywhere. We believe that great investors do, too!

We invest in hilariously early companies across b2b SaaS, digital consumer health, fintech and web3. We see ~1,000 companies each month, meet with 50+ teams, and invest in ~7. We look for great execution and high velocity in the teams we back and the teammates we work with.

We write $150k checks into the best companies and then work with them through Redwood School to support fundraising and customer acquisition. On occasion, we write larger follow on checks, and give founders the opportunity to syndicate with our global Angel Squad community of >2,000 founders, operators, emerging fund managers, and subject matter experts (doctors, lawyers, athletes, consultants, chefs, and more!)

Associate, Venture Fellowship Program Lead

We believe that VC is an apprenticeship business. As such, we’ve created a Venture Fellowship to enable aspiring VCs and syndicate leads in Angel Squad get hands-on experience throughout the deal lifecycle:

To date, we’ve welcomed 30 fellows to the program, and are bringing on another team member to help us onboard and run the 2025 fellowship cohort(s). Venture Fellowship overview and expectations

As the Associate in charge of the Venture Fellowship, you’ll lead and elevate the program. In addition, you’ll work closely with the investment team, get to see and evaluate a lot of companies, and use your areas of expertise to support portfolio companies.

Venture Fellow recruitment/onboarding

  • be an ambassador of the fellowship in the Angel Squad community, engaging on Circle and in weekly Angel Squad events
  • invite top prospective/current fellows to join upcoming deal reviews and help facilitate conversation
  • participate in Slack discussions to evaluate companies before/during/after calls and share interesting deals and content

Program management

  • manage the signup process for deal reviews and intro calls
  • help facilitate regular deal reviews to get to “pipeline 0” each week
  • answer questions about the program and make improvements based on feedback and opportunities to automate
  • learn about fellows goals and share resources and ideas to support them
  • communicate with teams at Hustle Fund who run Batter Up and Angel Squad events (Shark Tanks, Deal Reviews, Open House events etc) to share top companies and ensure a smooth founder journey

Deal lifecycle support

  • join intro calls with inbound founders sharing Hustle Fund’s value prop and process and asking initial questions
  • support due diligence conducting primary and secondary research
  • send followup questions to founders
  • send turn downs based on feedback from investment team as needed

Time commitment

We are looking for someone who can start working with us for 7-10 hours per week in April/May and stay on through at least the end of the 2025. An ideal candidate can work East Coast hours. While we’re quite flexible about when you work, a potential schedule would be:

  • Monday 8A-9A
  • Tuesday flex
  • Wednesday 8P-9P
  • Thursday flex
  • Friday 2P-4P

In addition, you’d be able to join any intro calls you’re interested in. Across the investment team, we typically take 10-15 per week.
