VC Associate @ DNX Ventures in San Francisco, CA

DNX Ventures, is seeking an Venture Research Associate to analyze and report on the fast changing AI startup market for their investment team, portfolios, and LPs. This role requires exceptional analytical abilities and reporting skills, as well as a technical understanding of AI technologies.

The ideal candidate contains strong analytical and technical skills and knowledge, and can analyze and present the complex state of AI in business.

Key Responsibilities – Research and Analytics

• Research on various aspects of the AI market, including startups, trends, and emerging technologies
• Produce high-quality content that condenses market data into insight on AI for our LPs, team members, and the industry at large
• Participate in marketing and sales activities, including material production, webinars, client calls, and events for the Startup community as well as our LP community (All of our LPs are Japanese corporates)
• Support due diligence for investment team
• Support our portfolio with your network and knowledge
• Wear many hats, contribute to diverse projects, and adapt to the needs of a rapidly growing organization

Required Qualifications

• Strong analytical capability
• 2+ years of experience in a research analyst role, ideally with a focus on AI
• Thrive in dynamic fast pace environments: high energy, positive, deliberate, self-aware, curious, and open-minded, with a passion for the evolving AI industry
• Analytical thinker with a deep insight into AI technology and the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights
• A great communicator, both in writing and conversation, able to convey complex ideas with clarity and coherence in a diverse range of environments. Proficiency with social media communication is a plus
• Japanese cultural respect and understanding. (Basic Japanese skill is nice to have)
• A Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Skilled in statistical analysis, data visualization tools, and programming languages
• Passionate about AI and startups
