The ideal candidate for this position will identify, review and assess new investment opportunities across Ahren’s four domains: Planet & Efficient EnergyBrain & Artificial IntelligenceGenetics & Platform Technologies; and Space, Robotics & Physics.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting in-depth technology and market research to support the creation of investment theses across one or several Ahren domains
  • Sourcing, reviewing, and assessing new investment opportunities for Ahren and being a key point of contact with entrepreneurs
  • Performing technical, market, business, and financial due diligence on transactions and supporting the investment process from sourcing to deal completion
  • Management and tracking of Ahren portfolio company performance and supporting ad-hoc projects to support portfolio company executives
  • Building a network of deep tech academics, entrepreneurs, and investors and leveraging that network for the benefit of Ahren and its portfolio
  • Supporting the execution of key internal initiatives including but not limited to quarterly portfolio reviews, investor communications, fund administration, and strategic projects
  • Upholding our values and sharing our vision

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or related technical field
  • Relevant investment, or similar financial, experience
  • A keen interest in deep science and deep technology that you can talk about, and desire to
  • change the world for the better
  • Highly commercial and a passion for early-stage technology and entrepreneurship
  • Hustle, and the ability to access entrepreneurs and companies that excite you
