About Accelerate Ventures

Accelerate Ventures is a new, fully funded VC fund focussing on the Sports and Sports Technology sectors. We use our partnerships with elite sports teams and our in-house consulting expertise to help our portfolio companies unlock the next phase of their growth potential.

Responsibilities

As an Associate / Senior Associate, you will:

– Conduct market research and analysis to identify and prioritize potential investment themes and sectors

– Build and maintain a network of founders, entrepreneurs, and industry experts

– Proactively source and screen new investment opportunities and conduct initial due diligence

– Support the deal team in preparing investment memos, financial models, and term sheets

– Participate in deal execution and portfolio management, including attending board meetings, providing operational support, and tracking key metrics

– Contribute to the firm’s thought leadership and brand awareness through writing blog posts, newsletters, and social media content

Requirements

– 2-4 years of relevant experience, preferably in VC (alternatively in PE, M&A, or Family Office), preferably with exposure to the sports or technology sectors

– A strong academic background

– Experience working in deal teams

– A passion for entrepreneurship and innovation and a keen interest in sport, emerging technologies and trends

– Excellent analytical, financial, and communication skills, both written and verbal

– A high level of initiative, curiosity, and creativity, and a willingness to learn and take feedback

– A collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset and a positive and professional attitude
