We are looking for a dynamic change agent with passion – and zeal! – to join our team as an Investment Analyst, a critical role in our growing franchise. Your experience will be one where you will play an integral role across the life cycle of the activities in sourcing, investment and post investment stages.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
・Gain foundational knowledge of Zeal Capital operations (Deal Sourcing, Deal Analysis, Deal Execution, Technical Skills, Recruitment, Internal Operations, Thesis Building, LP Management, Ecosystem Management, Portfolio Support)
・Use Zeal’s Inclusive Investing™ strategy to perform market research to identify new trends and investment opportunities
・Possess the ability to research, understand and communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely using strong written and verbal communication skills across post secondary, workforce, and financial technology categories
・Assist the team with deal screening, documentation, due diligence, valuation analyses, presentation development and create write-ups and investment memos
・Provide recommendations and rationale for investments
・Stay organized, has good documentation skills and is responsive to team needs
・Take initiative, self-motivated to meet deadlines and does not require constant supervision
・Interact directly with founders to provide company portfolio support and LPs, with guidance from Zeal’s Investment team
・Display a professional attitude with the highest level of ethics, integrity, and confidentiality in business dealings
・Lead initiatives as needed, identify opportunities and drive continual improvement in fund operations and step in to support initiatives that need assistance
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS
・Undergraduate degree in Business or Finance related field
・Previous experience in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, venture capital, management consulting or related fields (preferred)
・Interested in having a career in venture capital
・Dedication to company values and vision
・Operate with a high level of personal integrity and responsibility
・Detail oriented, analytical mindset and a natural problem-solver
・Organized, deadline-driven, and excel at multitasking
・Collaborative with a strong team mentality, curious and not afraid to ask questions
・A strong drive and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
・Passion for high quality work and continuously seeks to improve and make an impact
・Outgoing, friendly, and prepared to step out of your comfort zone
・Skilled in using Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel), CRM systems, and familiar with Google Drive
・Has a reliable laptop computer and smartphone (with strong security passwords)
