VC Analyst @ Visionaries Club in Berlin, Germany

We seek a curious, driven, high-potential individual to join our Visionaries Tomorrow team. This role will allow you to work in a mission-driven and highly entrepreneurial venture firm, partnering with industrial climate tech founders to tackle one of the most pressing challenges of our time: the climate crisis. We are excited to launch this opening for our Visiting Analyst Program, a 6-month full-time program starting on July 1st 2024, unlocking the opportunity for you to join our team and have exposure to the most transformative breakthroughs in industrial climate tech. As part of the program, you will be able to explore the full bandwidth of what it means to build a venture capital fund, be part of the investment team, and have the opportunity to engage with ambitious, purpose-driven entrepreneurs.

With Visionaries Tomorrow, we invest in mission-driven founders working on breakthrough technology to rebuild the fundamentals of our world’s largest industries for a sustainable world of tomorrow. Our focus is on the (pre-)seed stage, and we help startups by facilitating unfair access to the industrial expertise and scaling know-how of our deeply involved LP base, which includes leading European industrial & family businesses as well as 45+ unicorn founders.

Your job responsibilities

• Become a full-time co-entrepreneur and part of our investment team: Join us in building Visionaries Tomorrow, being an entrepreneur in VC and work on exciting investment opportunities in close collaboration with a Principal/Partner as well as our investor network and the broader operational team
• Get ahead of the next big disruption: Build expertise in the most promising scientific breakthroughs and systematically analyze the impact potential on our world’s largest industries to uncover the next wave of era-defining companies that shape a sustainable world of tomorrow
• Go hunting for the next decacorn: Conduct deep dives and due diligence on industrial climate tech companies at a very early stage, in line with our investment criteria
• Always put founders first: Ensure seamless operations, manage knowledge and take ownership in our collaboration with founders

What we are looking for

• Work experience in a high-paced and dynamic environment, such as a startup, scaleup, or strategy consultancy
• High intellectual curiosity to explore and evaluate the investment potential of the latest technological advances at an atom/molecule/cell level
• Outstanding university degree (or in progress) in a technical domain or contrarian path with the courage to follow your passion instead of a traditional track, staying hungry and reaching higher
• Strong structuring and analytical skills (e.g., tech analysis and getting under the hood of businesses in your previous roles)
• Strong work ethic, passion for industrial climate tech, and startups
• Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)
