Most VC job ads start with how great the fund is. This one starts with what we actually need: someone obsessed with finding extraordinary founders before the rest of the world catches on.

Skybound is a new deep tech fund investing in founders who are changing the real world. Agriculture, space, energy, robotics, longevity, AI safety, and more. We just had our first $35m oversubscribed closing and we’re moving full steam ahead.

The role

We’re looking for an Analyst (or Associate, depending on what you bring) to join our international team based in Athens.

You will be in the room. On calls with founders from day one. Reviewing 20+ companies a week, writing the notes that shape our investment decisions, and going deep on sectors most people haven’t even heard of yet.

What you’d actually be doing:

• Sourcing startups. Tracking international and Greek/Greek diaspora founders around the world before they even start fundraising. We have proprietary methods for this and you’ll be running them.
• Dealflow. Reviewing, qualifying, and researching leads across deep tech. Writing the memos that go to our Investment Committee.
• Supporting portfolio companies. Helping founders with go-to-market, fundraising materials, financial models, investor outreach, whatever they need to get to the next round.
• Research. Sectors, competitive landscapes, market dynamics. The work that makes us smarter.
• Events and community. Organizing and running events in Athens and beyond.
• Internal operations. CRM, KPIs, keeping the machine running.

Who this is for

You’re analytical. You can build a model, tear apart a pitch deck, and write a clear memo. But you’re also scrappy. You don’t wait to be told what to do.

You’re curious about technology beyond the headlines. You want to understand how a sensor works, why a biotech approach is different, what makes one robotics architecture better than another.

You’ve done 1–3 years in venture capital, investment banking, consulting, or a startup. Or maybe you’re a former founder. We care less about the exact path and more about what you learned on it.

English fluent. Greek is a strong plus. Based in Athens or willing to relocate.

Bonus if you have a technical background or have worked with deep tech companies. Extra bonus if you have your own chip on the shoulder.

Who this is NOT for

If you want a predictable 9-to-5 at a big institution, this isn’t it. We’re a small team building something from scratch. Some weeks you’ll be on calls with founders in San Francisco at midnight. Other weeks you’ll be moving chairs for an event. We think it’s the best job in the world.

If you want to work in VC because it sounds prestigious, please don’t apply. We want people who can’t imagine doing anything else.
