Invest-NL has approximately €3 billion available to invest in innovative start-ups, scale-ups and large-scale projects. This makes us the largest impact investor in the Netherlands! Invest-NL distinguishes itself from regular investors by its focus on both impact and the long term, high risk appetite and size.

Invest-NL is also active as one of the most important fund investors in the Netherlands. In this, we mainly look at how we can strengthen the Venture Capital landscape in the Netherlands, especially in the field of Energy Transition, Deeptech, Biobased, Circular Economy, Agrifood and Sustainable Care. We also invest in foreign funds if we believe that these have real added value in the Netherlands. In addition, we have various joint mandates with the European Investment Fund (EIF).

We have now built a portfolio of more than 40 impactful fund investments that is growing steadily. Recently, we also expressed the ambition to set up a fund-in-fund together with pension funds to support start-ups and scale-ups via impact funds.

For the team responsible for these investments, we are looking for an Investment Analyst Fund Investments. We are looking for someone who can make an important contribution with passion and knowledge to the management and further expansion of our steadily growing portfolio of fund investments.

This is what you will do

As an Investment Analyst Fund Investments:

• Assess your funding applications against our investment criteria;
• Make significant contributions to the preparation and development of investment proposals;
• Spend your time proactively sourcing investment funds that can contribute to Invest-NL’s mandate;
• Help us to further develop and maintain our network of relevant parties that contribute to broadening our knowledge and ensuring good deal flow;
• Report periodically on our fund investments;
• Perform administrative tasks related to the day-to-day management of our fund investments;
• Do you contribute to the mobilisation of European capital from European funds such as the EIF and institutional capital from pension funds, for example, in order to make an even greater impact together;
• Are you involved in the development of new fund initiatives and fund structures to remove financing bottlenecks that hinder innovation and sustainability?

You are

Driven to make a difference and to keep learning. Strong in communication and analysis. You get energy from coming up with solutions for unknown areas within the existing, but also for the unexplored part of the financing landscape in the Netherlands. You are a connector and are motivated to give substance to our indirect investment strategy within a growing team.

You have

• A passion and drive for sustainability and innovation;
• A completed HBO or WO education;
• 0 – 3 years of work experience;
• Preferably knowledge of the financial structure and legal documentation of investment funds and the underlying investments;
• Preferably a relevant network in fund investments, preferably in the field of Venture Capital, sustainability, innovation or other impact areas.
