Role Overview

Fusion Fund is seeking a highly motivated Investment Analyst to join our investment team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with seasoned investors and innovative startups in transformative industries. As a Investment Analyst, you will play an integral role in sourcing and analyzing investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, and supporting portfolio companies.

Key Responsibilities

• Investment Analysis:
  • Conduct in-depth due diligence on prospective investments, including market research, competitive analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Evaluate market trends and industry landscapes to identify opportunities aligned with Fusion Fund’s investment thesis.
• Deal Sourcing:
  • Identify and engage with promising startups by attending industry events, leveraging networks, and performing outreach.
  • Build and maintain a robust deal pipeline for potential investments as well as industry expertise on specific verticals through industry reports.
• Research and Reporting:
  • Analyze emerging technologies and industries relevant to our investment focus.
  • Prepare investment memos and presentations for the investment committee.
• Portfolio Support:
  • Collaborate with portfolio companies to drive operational excellence and strategic growth.
  • Assist in post-investment monitoring and reporting.
• Operational Support:
  • Support fund operations as needed, including quarterly reporting and tracking portfolio performance.
  • Assist with organizing key events with our community including webinars, founder mixers and happy hours, and knowledge-sharing panels.
  • Contribute to process optimization initiatives, including the development of tools and systems for tracking investments, and fund performance.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, or similar)
• 1–2 years of professional experience in a technical field, venture capital, consulting, investment banking, or a relevant startup, or current undergrad with previous internship experience in a similar field.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• A passion for technology and innovation, with a keen interest in healthcare, AI, and industrial automation.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Compensation & Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $80,000 – $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional compensation, such as performance-based bonuses, may be available.
