Senior VC Associate @ TIAA in New York City, NY

This role will play a key role in sourcing, evaluating, and managing venture investments, as well as supporting the collaboration between portfolio companies and internal business units.

Key Responsibilities And Duties

  • Identify and source investment opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with founders, venture firms, accelerators, and other industry stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes.
  • Perform financial analysis, market assessment, and business model evaluation for potential investments.
  • Support management of existing portfolio companies, including performance tracking and strategic guidance.
  • Facilitate collaboration between portfolio companies and internal business units to maximize synergies.
  • Monitor industry developments to identify potential risks and opportunities for portfolio companies.
  • Assist in developing and refining investment strategies and processes.
  • Provide thought leadership by preparing reports and presentations on market insights and trends.

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

Work Experience

  • 3+ Years Required; 5+ Years Preferred

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience in Venture Capital, Corporate Venture Capital, Private Equity, Banking, Strategy, or a similar analytical role, ideally including deal experience with technology companies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in Venture Capital, Corporate Venture Capital, Private Equity, Banking, Strategy, or a similar analytical role, ideally including deal experience with technology companies
  • University degree
  • Previous experience in financial modelling, data analysis and market research
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft suite of products specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
