About Intuit Ventures And Corporate Strategy & Development
Intuit Ventures is the VC arm of the company, investing in series A-C startups in areas relevant to Intuit and our future. Intuit Ventures is involved in all aspects of venture capital investing, and provides the opportunity to work with world-class startups and entrepreneurs. The role also gives you exposure to senior leaders across the company as well as significant individual responsibility and career progression. This role currently reports to the Director of Intuit Ventures.
The team is part of Intuit’s Corporate Strategy and Development team. This team works on highly visible, key acquisition, investment and strategy initiatives. The team is focused on identifying, evaluating and executing on opportunities to drive growth and/or operational excellence for Intuit and its portfolio of businesses.
What You’ll Bring
- 4+ years of work experience
- MBA or equivalent experience desired
- Ability to think strategically about products, markets, business models, competitive landscapes and relevance to Intuit’s business
- Ability to build and maintain meaningful relationships with investors, entrepreneurs and executives
- Excellent analytical, quantitative skills, including proficiency with valuation and financial modeling
- Ability to work collaboratively and support work as part of a team
- Superior communication (written/verbal), presentation and meeting facilitation skills
- Well-rounded interpersonal skill set with the capacity to lead teams and build relationships with senior executives
- Proven ability to learn quickly and work well under pressure with appropriate attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in corporate venture capital, venture capital/private equity, corporate development or investment banking
- End-to-end transaction-execution experience related to investing or M&A desired
- A passion for startups and innovation
- Experience working at, or knowledge of, early-stage technology companies
How You Will Lead
- Support all aspects of the deal process, including the sourcing, evaluation and execution of investments in early-stage startups aligned with Intuit’s strategic areas of focus and investment themes
- Support all aspects of investment theses development, including researching and monitoring landscapes, trends, opportunities and threats for existing and new investment themes
- Conduct product, business and financial due diligence on prospective investment opportunities
- Be an ambassador for Intuit Ventures at external conferences and networking events
- Build relationships with and portfolio companies and support management teams
- Assist in the preparation of strategic memos, investment memos, reporting and other related materials for Intuit’s investment committee
- Monitor and manage the strategic and financial performance of Intuit’s existing portfolio of investments
