Role Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Cross-Functional Operations Lead to manage both our non-profit educational initiatives and our venture capital operations. This unique role combines educational program management with venture capital operations, requiring someone who can wear multiple hats and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Non-Profit Operations

  • Manage day-to-day operations of Founder School’s educational programs
  • Lead strategy to raise funds via grants and foundations
  • Coordinate with instructors, mentors, and program participants
  • Develop and implement curriculum improvements
  • Track and report program metrics and impact
  • Manage student applications and admissions process

Venture Capital Operations

  • Assist with launching and marketing syndicate rolling fund
  • Support deal flow management and initial screening of potential investments
  • Conduct due diligence on potential portfolio companies
  • Assist in portfolio company monitoring and reporting
  • Coordinate with legal team on investment documentation
  • Track fund performance metrics and prepare investor reports

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Build bridges between the educational program and investment activities
  • Identify promising graduates for potential investment
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Create and manage operating budgets for both entities

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or relevant master’s degree preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience in education, venture capital, or startup operations
  • Get shit done attitude
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proven track record of managing multiple priorities effectively
