APL Ventures is building out its investment team as we launch our inaugural growth fund.
Since 2023, Albert P. Lee (Stanford GSB, ex-Morgan Stanley PE; https://lnkd.in/g63UVSsE) has built a portfolio in Silicon Valley including xAI, Databricks, Perplexity, Glean, Shield AI, Apptronik, and Armada through APL Ventures (apl-ventures.com), founded as a private investment vehicle. We are now institutionalizing our inaugural growth fund, with Albert and family as anchor investors.
We’re hiring a Senior Associate / Vice President to work directly with Albert on deal sourcing, diligence, execution, and firm-building across the platform. Title to match experience – with a path to senior roles.
Ideal background: 5-10 years of experience in growth-stage VC, growth/tech-focused PE, or investment banking (TMT). Adjacent paths welcome: strategic finance at a top tech company, management consulting (PE practice), family office direct investing, exited founders. Bay Area-based preferred; exceptional candidates elsewhere considered.
