Our 53 Stations’ team is growing! We are currently searching for a Senior Associate to support all aspects of firm building. We invest early (from Seed to Series B) across a range of sectors including, but not limited to, enterprise software, fintech, construction & prop tech, and food & restaurant tech.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Associate on our team, you will work directly with the firm’s leadership to support all aspects of the investment and firm building processes. Primary responsibilities include:
- Investment thesis research and development
- Evaluating potential investments: Independently run diligence processes with assistance from Partners, effectively prioritizing diligence areas and pitching interesting investment opportunities to the rest of the team
- Sourcing investment opportunities
- Supporting portfolio companies
- Engaging in firm building initiatives
Qualifications
- Positive, humble, and entrepreneurial self-starter with a passion for investing in new technologies and digging into startup products
- Sound analytical, quantitative, and financial modeling skills: Experience synthesizing large amounts of information to ascertain what matters and to create models that forecast outcomes
- High level of maturity and ability to work both in teams and independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Network builder, with a deep understanding of the VC ecosystem, comfortable developing relationships with founders and industry leaders from the ground up
- A minimum of 4 years working in private equity, venture capital, and/or at a startup
