Sixty8 Capital is a new fund based in Indianapolis, IN, built to invest in diverse founders between the coasts. We are looking to expand our brand and reach by adding a talented professional to help build the Sixty8 community and platform, perform due diligence, and assist in investment decisions. In this role you will have meaningful exposure to all aspects of Sixty8, investing on a small team. The role requires a strong sense of self-motivation, communication and quantitative skills. You will play a pivotal role in the evaluation of new opportunities and in the ongoing performance monitoring and business building of the entire portfolio, along with building the Sixty8 brand. Candidates can be based anywhere in the Greater Midwest or South.

Responsibilities

Associate (50%)

  • Financial Analysis: Prepare valuation and projection models for current and pipeline opportunities including public and private comparisons and transaction analyses, in addition to waterfall analyses
  • Deal Sourcing: Assist with deal sourcing by leveraging the Sixty8 network, attending conferences and pitch competitions, and researching sources like Pitchbook, Crunchbase, and other online catalogs to stay abreast of new trends and potential opportunities
  • Industry Research: Prepare analysis and research presentations for the group. Actively read and seek out new information sources whilst building relationships with key ecosystem partners and providers
  • Deal Structuring: Assist with deal structuring and the evaluation of term sheets, create financial models
  • Due Diligence: Prepare and present investment memos and pitch decks for new and follow-on investments based on analysis and market research
  • Portfolio Monitoring: Monitor current investments and track key metrics and company performance

Platform (50%)

  • Marketing and communications: Support the Sixty8 brand via regular newsletters, social media, LP communication and website updates. Assist Sixty8 in expanding into new geographic markets
  • Operations: Maintaining the deal pipeline, co-investor network, mentor network, job board, and plan and support Sixty8 Capital’s annual meeting
  • Portfolio support: Building portfolio company events, operationalize the Sixty8 network of experts, assist in strategy sessions, create benchmarks for portcos, and assist with talent sourcing for portfolio companies

Requirements

  • Experience (2-4 years) in finance, startups (marketing, sales, finance, or revenue operations), venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or consulting. Also interested in engaging candidates with diverse experience in corporate or a general interest in capital access for diverse founders
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word & Google Sheets
  • Experience conducting due diligence and researching market trends or similar insights
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Cultural competency and founder-friendly demeanor
