Role Overview
As Fundraising & Investor Relations Lead, you will be the tip of the spear in securing LP commitments and building strategic financial partnerships. You’ll help craft our fundraising strategy, lead conversations with family offices, angel syndicates, and high-net-worth individuals, and manage our full investor funnel from first meeting to capital close.
This is a high-impact role with direct influence on our fund’s future—and an opportunity to help launch one of the most values-driven investment platforms of the decade.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the fundraising strategy for Fund I ($25M–$100M target)
- Identify and cultivate relationships with prospective LPs (family offices, funds of funds, impact investors, HNWIs)
- Develop and maintain investor materials (pitch decks, tear sheets, case studies, data rooms)
- Own the investor pipeline, tracking outreach, interest, and conversion through CRM tools
- Represent Compassion Ventures in capital formation events, panels, and investor calls
- Manage LP communications, reporting, and ongoing relationship building
- Collaborate with legal counsel on fund documents, closing logistics, and compliance
Ideal Candidate
- 5+ years of experience in fundraising, investor relations, private equity, venture capital, or asset management
- Demonstrated success raising capital from LPs, angels, or institutional investors
- Deep network of investors in early-stage, impact, or alternative investing
- Strong communicator—clear, confident, and compelling with a strategic mind
- Self-starter with high emotional intelligence and a passion for purposeful innovation
- Bonus: Experience working with emerging fund managers or first-time funds
Compensation & Structure
- Competitive base + performance-based bonus or commission structure
- Equity/Carry participation in Fund I and/or studio ventures
- Flexible structure depending on experience—part-time, partner-track, or full-time

Qualifications (at least 5 years of capital raising experience strongly preferred or direct investment experience or fundraising experience of more than $5MM)
- Experience in fundraising, investor relations, and financial analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong project management and organizational abilities
- Knowledge of investment trends and financial markets
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Experience in the venture capital or non-profit sector is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
