Honestly…we are constantly (I mean it! over and over again 😂) asked by our top portfolio companies for network recommendations of Chief of Staff potential talent.
Mostly, we look for certain track records in:
- Business Development, Sales or Growth – I mean someone actually paid, not only once
- Product Management – reached at least PMF
- Consulting – yeah, tricky to explain what actually, but you saw Suits
- Software Development or Technology – please, at least deep understanding
- ex-Founders – brave, even if you failed we want what you have learned
- ex-Startup Operators – especially if done some cool growth, if not so cool…hmmmm we will think about it. If unicornish, you are sooooooo coool 🦄
- Operations – but hey the one that actually worked, at least on spreadsheets
also if you are just brave, smart and get shit done – it should also work for us as well!
