Better Tomorrow Ventures (BTV) is a fintech-focused venture capital firm investing in pre-seed and seed-stage companies worldwide. Founded in 2019 by Jake Gibson and Sheel Mohnot, our team is small, resourceful, and deeply committed to supporting our founders.

Role Overview:

The Chief of Staff at BTV will lead efforts to grow our brand, manage events, oversee admin and office operations, and support our founders. You will serve as the right-hand to the General Partners, ensuring the team operates efficiently while upholding BTV’s reputation for being remarkably helpful and accessible.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Support: Partner with Jake and Sheel to drive brand growth, fundraising efforts, and key projects.
• Event Management: Plan and execute high-stakes events, including LP meetings, founder retreats, team retreats, Demo Days, and portfolio gatherings.
• Team Management: Hire, train, and manage the admin team and external contractors.
• Founder Support: Enhance founder resources, coordinate events, and handle ad hoc requests.
• Operations: Manage office upkeep, CRMs, newsletters, and backend systems.
• Miscellaneous Support: Oversee Jake and Sheel’s calendars, travel, and light personal management when EAs are unavailable.

Schedule:

• Full time, with occasional off-hours availability
• In office, with option to work remotely (projects dependent)

What We’re Looking For:

Experience:

• 5+ years in administration, EA, or similar roles with proof of tech-savviness and adaptability

Traits:

• Warm, resourceful problem solver with exceptional organizational and leadership skills
• Detail-oriented self-starter with a “can-do” mindset, and ability to juggle multiple priorities at a reliably high caliber
• Excellent, fast communication
• Driven by helping others and building quickly
