Mana Ventures is an early stage VC firm + Collective investing in the smartest technical founders pushing humanity forward.

We’re investing out of our 2nd Fund writing $200k – $1.5m checks into pre-seed – Series A deep tech, AI, and software companies. We also run a very active AngelList Collective with a network of 10k+ LP’s, partners, & scouts. We’re investing in AI, robotics, automation, space, defense, compute, energy, and healthcare.

The firm is led by Morgan Schwanke, a prior founder and investor in 200+ venture backed companies. Notable pre-seed – series A investments include K2 Space, Abridge, OneBrief, Neros, Neurophos, among others.

What We’re Looking For

• Deep Technical Curiosity– Enjoys going deep on technologies / industries, and following the rabbit hole.
• Thesis + Conviction – Ability to synthesize vast amounts of data and resolve what really matters – building thesis, due diligence, and conviction.
• Builder at heart – Loves building systems and bringing them together to scale.
• Autonomous by Nature – Has a strong ‘figure it out’ muscle, and can run autonomously and build on the fly.
• Great Writer – We write a lot of memos.
• Details Oriented – Treat the little things like big things. Highly organized and ready to work with / lead multiple stakeholders.
• Network Driven – Already built a strong network of technical founders or ready to do so.
• Techno Optimist– Ready to build a personal brand around backing founders pushing humanity forward. Being the type of investor a founder wants and needs.
• Experience – Prior experience as a Founder or VC, consulting, and/or startup operator.
• San Francisco – Sitting next to me :)

Compensation

• $90,000 – $180,000
