It’s true of both my parents, but I’ll call out my dad in particular on this — he would reinvent his career every four or five years, and it was a really powerful thing. It was just, “This is what I want to do and I’m going to do it.” He believed that if you have something you’re really passionate about, you can do it. That was always very inspiring to me.
