Mubadala Capital, a global investor with offices in Abu Dhabi, San Francisco, London, New York, Moscow and Rio De Janeiro, seeks an Investment Analyst for its US Ventures team, based in San Francisco.

This role is an integral part of the Mubadala Capital – Ventures investment team, and through it you will gain exposure into the venture capital business; work on exciting projects (including in the areas of thesis development; investment process and diligence, and portfolio construction) and meet founders and start-up teams that are working on cutting edge technologies and world- changing businesses. The Mubadala Capital – Ventures team concentrates on investments in healthcare, financial technology, enterprise SaaS and cloud infrastructure, autonomy / mobility, and deep technology.

You will receive the support and mentorship of the investment team, be offered the opportunity to grow and hone your skills and gain a unique lens on global venture investing.

The Role

  • Work closely with the investment partners to conduct market and industry research necessary to support developing investment theses and diligence active investment opportunities
  • Maintain a watchlist of funds and companies that can be potential partnership and investment targets in areas of focus including enterprise, fintech and healthcare
  • Curate periodical reports summarizing key industry highlights and trends including financing and M&A activities in key sectors
  • Maintain a central database and generate quarterly reports summarizing key investment activities and overall performance of our fund partners
  • Support head of operations in the creation of periodical internal and external reporting, including but not limited to limited partner reporting and other internal reporting


What You’ll Do

  • 1-2 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, or data-driven business / operations role at a large technology company / startup
  • Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint guru
  • Strong data and financial modeling skills including the ability to analyze and model company financials
  • Ability to think creatively, multi-task, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines with quick turnaround and high quality
  • Comfort operating in a global environment and able to travel domestically and internationally
  • Experience with Pitchbook and Capital IQ is a plus
  • Undergraduate degree
