ForgePoint Capital is looking for a highly-motivated and talented individual to join the investment team in San Mateo, CA, offering a unique opportunity into the venture capital industry. As an important member of the investment team, Sr. Analysts spend their time on internal firm operations, market research and deal diligence. The firm’s industry presence and relationships will allow you to see a constant flow of potential investments in the cybersecurity market. You will get experience in evaluating new investments and learning, from the ground-up, how a sector-focused venture capital investor identifies, evaluates, and executes investments in a diverse set of companies.  You will evaluate investment opportunities, gain strong industry and business model expertise, and develop your abilities as a venture capital investor.

ForgePoint Capital is a sector-focused, early-stage (Series A & B; select growth equity) venture capital firm.  We are a team of 7 investing professionals exclusively investing in the next generation of leading and disruptive cybersecurity companies.  Our first fund was oversubscribed at $306M; our second fund was oversubscribed and closed at $450M in late February 2020.


Key Responsibilities:

    • Firm Operations – Sr. Analysts will work across the firm and prepare written materials, including due diligence summaries, investment memoranda and portfolio reporting, industry and company data collection & tracking as well as manage internal deal CRM.
    • Market Research – Sr. Analysts support development of thesis-driven market analysis within the cybersecurity sector by identifying incumbents, differentiators, emerging trends and disruptive companies.


  • Deal Diligence – Sr. Analysts will support deal teams by synthesizing deliverables, analyzing complex data sets to identify crucial financial and business information, and supporting the overall execution of deals. 




  • Superior work ethic, self-driven with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Outstanding academic achievement in a technical or quantitative field
  • 1 – 2+ years of other relevant experience (ex., investment banking, tech-focused management consulting, private equity, etc.)
  • Foundational analytical and data synthesizing capabilities in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to manage, collaborate and work successfully in a lean team, fast-paced environment
  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Engineering, Computer Science or related field
