Ironspring is looking for our 1st Venture Fellow to work with our deal team in helping evaluate potential investments and developing the firm’s investment perspectives across multiple sectors. The lean structure of our team offers significant opportunity to work closely with senior team members on all aspects of Ironspring activities, as well as the knowledge and training one needs to prepare for a career in Venture Capital and company building from the ground up. Candidates must be currently enrolled in a four-year undergraduate program and actively involved with their university’s venture and entrepreneurship ecosystem.
POSITION: Winter Venture Fellow RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: · Perform analysis in support of investment memo write-ups, including market research, competitor landscapes and financial modeling · Help develop the firm’s investment perspectives across multiple sectors and geographies · Create content for and about Ironspring, specifically, but not limited to, newsletters, technology deep dives and blog posts · Attend and contribute to investment committee meetings and meetings with entrepreneurs · Assist the VC team in special projects and supporting portfolio companies, as needed SCHEDULE: · The Winter Venture Fellow role is a ~10 hour per week, part-time role that will run until the end of 2020 VALUED TRAITS & EXPERIENCES: · Candidate must be currently enrolled in a four-year undergraduate program · Passion for early-stage company building, tech and innovation · Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills · High intellectual horsepower with a record of academic achievement · Strong attention to detail and recognized ability to deliver excellent work product · Demonstrated interest in heavy industrials, construction, supply chain, energy or related field preferred · Unquestionable honesty, integrity, and transparency ABOUT IRONSPRING: Ironspring is a network-driven venture capital fund investing in digital industrial innovation.
