VC Partner @ Silicon Foundry in San Francisco, CA

We are rapidly scaling Silicon Foundry’s membership and growing our team of Coverage Partners, who prospect and support new Members, as well as expand our visibility and footprint in the technology startup community. Coverage Partners act as expert scouts in the field who understand, represent and pursue the interests of our Members. These professionals work closely with senior executives and their corporate development, business development, venture investment and digital and innovation officers, to maintain an up-to-date view of their priorities and areas of strategic focus. These inputs then guide the Coverage Partners as they navigate and filter the startup landscape, in order to surface for Members the most relevant and impactful intelligence, recruiting, partnership, investment and acquisition opportunities.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Prospect, close and onboard new corporate Members to the Foundry platform
  • Act as the day-to-day lead interface with key executives at Member organizations; maintain ongoing dialogue and deep understanding of their core interests and end goals
  • Aggressively build relationships with startup founders and VCs, while generating awareness and communicating our value proposition to the broader tech community
  • Develop sector maps, monitor and have points of view on industry trends, attend demo days, track top VC portfolios; regularly summarize insights, compile and distribute intelligence reports
  • Identify startups with most compelling teams, tech and traction; create target lists, determine relevant recommendations and make direct connections between startups and Members
  • Track and measure the impact and effectiveness of these introductions, integrate Member feedback and adjust landscape filters for future searches and to design embedded experiences
  • Orchestrate executive briefings, craft agendas and own all aspects of these day long immersive experiences for visiting executives, post briefings lead follow-through of any deliverables
  • Participate and assist in leading weekly roundup meetings, where our team comes together to share timely intel, ideas and observations from the field, input points in our CRM system
  • Coordinate with our internal event programming group to assist in defining topical themes and invite lists for our ongoing slate of private events (40+ / year)
  • Reports directly to CEO of Silicon Foundry, works closely with entire team

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of proven performance in investment banking, venture capital, corporate development, business development or strategy consulting type roles
  • Degree in business or related field of study (MBA preferred, not required)
  • Fundamental passion for and broad knowledge of the technology industry
  • Comfortable navigating the corporate hallways, while in parallel being highly embedded in the startup founder, VC investor and influencer communities
  • Born to network, astute at building relationships, connecting the dots between players, followed by architecting relevant and high value introductions
  • Exceptional drive with integrity, authenticity and a healthy dose of humility
  • Strategic aptitude, raw intellect, maturity and deep curiosity essential
  • High degree of ownership of work product and exceptional attention to detail
  • Exceedingly positive attitude and willingness to roll up sleeves in startup environment
  • Strong cultural fit tantamount, we are tight-knit, cross-functional team that avoids politics, moves quickly, and creatively leverages limited resources
