The Investment Manager will work actively on all aspects of venture investments. The role is wide-reaching and includes the following:
- Take a leadership role in sourcing and processing new investment opportunities, ranging from market assessment, team evaluation, risk assessment, and examining the technological background of ideas and business models
- Build and review flexible, robust and feasible financial models for startups to support deal structuring efforts
- Manage legal aspects of transactions while maintaining and reviewing the due diligence process for investment selection
- Deliver continuous support and monitoring of portfolio companies, review financial plans, execute controlling
- Ensure follow-on financing resources are available and manage exits
- Work with the Managing Partners to review investment portfolios and to perform performance attribution and risk assessments
- Review portfolios for and with clients
Desired Skills and Experience
- 2-5 years experience in venture capital, private equity, strategic consulting, start-up management or investment banking
- Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or science
- Master’s degree preferred
- Outstanding communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Experience in small venture management and being familiar with the international startup ecosystem is a plus
- Desire to lead a small team
- Fluency in English is a must and other Central and Eastern European languages are strongly preferred
