SAIC Innovation Center @ San Jose, CA is a fully owned subsidiary that engages in research and development for cutting edge technologies such as autonomous driving and Human Computer Interfaces. As part of the SAIC Motor Global R&D network, the Silicon Valley Innovation Center will seek to identify, sponsor, and nurture developing technologies by partnering with front-running universities and start-ups. Backed by the biggest OEM in China, we engage in every phase of the technology development pipeline from concept formulation and validation to prototype testing, with the aim to deliver continuous innovation initiatives to reshape the quality, functionality, and value in our products and services.

Job description

    • Perform financial modeling analysis to detect various investment and valuation outcomes
    • Conduct extensive company and industry due diligence
    • Coordinate technical evaluations and third party studies
    • Manage the transaction process and lead interactions with accounting and legal teams
    • Maintain and operate dashboards and other periodic reporting of investment process status and other investment operations activities
    • Ensure compliance with procedures for all investment operations policies and procedures
    • Analyze a wide variety of technologies
    • Perform qualitative and quantitative research to select investments
    • Coordinate efficient and effective investment processes and procedures
    • Serve as a representative of SAIC to the community (VC’s, entrepreneurs, lawyers, accountants, academics, etc.)
    • Monitor portfolio companies
    • Other duties as assigned

 

Required
Requirements

    • 5 – 10 years of relevant experience in venture capital or private equity
    • Bachelor degree in related field
    • Demonstrated experience in investment operations processes
    • Ability to work autonomously and build relationships
    • Analytical skills, problem solving, good critical thinking and decision making skills
    • A high level of attention to detail and quality assurance
    • Strong interpersonal communication skills
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present information in differing degrees of detail and form depending on the audience

 

Preferred

  • MBA or equivalent degree, and undergraduate technical degree
