Position Overview / Description
• Expert in digital solutions familiar with concepts such as AI, IoT, Edge-Computing, ML, Cloud Computing and Data-Analytics and its application and infrastructure, mobility, industry and energy business
• Detect/identify new technology and innovations with the potential to generate new business with significant growth potential and/or disruptive characteristics for existing technologies and businesses
• Evaluate technologies/innovations in terms of technical applicability, industrialization and commercial deployment via Proof of Concept (PoC) and Use Case (UC) projects
• Support innovation transfer from start-ups into Siemens and/or new and/or existing customers of Siemens on a global scale
• Connect yourself with all for next47 relevant innovation eco-systems
• This role reports to the Catalyst Head, USA

Responsibilities
• Develop a strong and sustainable network across next47, the global Siemens organization and with Siemens customers
• Plan and execute PoC and UC Projects based on the next47 Catalyst Operating Model
• Manage/Lead projects
• Report regularly on the progress of the PoC Projects to the next47 Catalyst Partner
• Collaborate intensively with the global next47 catalyst team and with the entire next47 team
• Best practice sharing with the other next47 catalyst teams in order to build the global technology function and expertise
• Provide technology advisory to other next47 teams, Siemens partners and start-ups as a thought leader
• Support technology transfer from start-ups into the Siemens network including partners and customers
• Support the identification of new investment opportunities and support the next47 capital team in evaluating technologies

• PhD required, related to Computer Science, Automation or Energy
• 10 plus years of experience in technology and innovation management of executing and managing PoC (Proof of Concept) and UC (Use Case) Projects
• Three plus years of team management experience, ability to motivate others to meet deadlines
• Knowledge to all relevant and adjacent innovation landscapes on technologies related to next47 investment strategy and ability to connect them to next47
• Experience with project management concepts and methodologies (e.g. Scrum / Agile / PMI)
• Enjoys challenges and is resilient under pressure
• Strong result orientation combined with speed and sense of urgency
• Strong strategic thinking and proven strategy development and implementation capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Expert with Excel and PPT
• Able to work with different cultures due to the international character of the function
