Associate Position:

Revel is seeking an Associate for its New York office.  The Associate will work directly with Revel’s General Partners.  Primary responsibilities of the Associate include:

  • Performing market research and due diligence for potential investments
  • Identifying and meeting with entrepreneurs who have started businesses in which Revel would be interested in investing
  • Reviewing business plans, researching industries and competitors
  • Creating financial models and sensitivity analyses
  • Assisting in the venture capital process to ensure a speedy, efficient due diligence and closing timeline
  • Reporting for our investors, which includes writing quarterly updates and packaging material for our investors

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Prior experience (1-2 years) at an investment bank, consulting firm or VC/PE fund ideal. However, job experience in a technology startup company is desirable.  Any expertise in product/engineering capacity a plus
  • Intellectual curiosity, especially for new and emerging technologies re-shaping the Internet landscape (Mobile, Marketing Tech, SaaS, AI/ML, Blockchain, E-Commerce, Security, Logistics, VR/AR)
  • Competent financial modeling, Excel and Powerpoint skills
  • Strong organizational skills – you’ll serve as lead in dealflow process and keep track of documents for a large portfolio of investments
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Comfortable in a small, relatively unstructured office environment
  • Self-directed, hungry and highly collaborative is a must – this is a career track role
  • Ability to build and maintain good relationships with colleagues, partners and entrepreneurs
