The Investment Analyst is primarily responsible for reviewing prospect business plans, performing desk research, competitive analysis/due diligence supporting the Investment Manager and the NAB Ventures team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identify attractive investment opportunities
- Initiate and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs
- Conduct market product and financial due diligence
- Financial analysis and returns modelling
- Participate in the deal closing process
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
As the successful candidate, you will have 2+ years of prior work experience ideally at a venture capital fund, investment bank or consulting firm. Those with operating experience in business development, sales, product management or financial analyst roles will also be considered.
You will have demonstrable ability to build financial models and perform quantitative analysis necessary to assess unit economics and financial soundness. An established industry network within the Melbourne/Sydney venture capital and entrepreneurial community is required.
You will be a constant user of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other social media tools, and you’ll have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
