Koch Disruptive Technologies (KDT) is the growth equity and venture capital arm of Koch Industries. KDT is seeking a post-MBA Investment Associate to join the team. Koch Industries is a leading technology investor that has deployed over $17 billion in technology companies in the last six years.

The primary investment criteria is to lead growth stage rounds, with opportunistic investing in early stage companies. Koch Disruptive Technologies is not a corporate venture capital firm.

  • Led the Series D for Ibotta at a $1bn valuation
  • Led the $150mm Series E in Insightec
  • Co-led with T. Rowe Price the $125mm Series D in D2iQ

A Day In The Life May Include:

This position will work on both growth and venture capital investments across a wide range of industries and stages. Associates are involved in the entire spectrum of the transaction, and have significant responsibilities in modeling, transaction due diligence and valuation analysis. This is a role with opportunity for growth within the fund. The relatively small size of this group offers Associates the opportunity to work closely with senior members of the firm and to have extensive interaction with management teams.  

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

    • Financial analysis, valuation and modeling
    • Industry and competitive analysis
    • Business diligence
    • Drafting of memoranda and materials for senior management
    • Screening of potential opportunities

 

Koch Disruptive Technologies seeks to hire individuals for this Wichita, Kansas-based role who are highly motivated, intelligent, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical and quantitative skills, the successful candidate should have strong communication skills, a demonstrated ability to write effectively and a desire to work in a team environment.  

What You Will Need (Requirements):

  • Completion of Bachelor’s degree
  • Currently enrolled in an MBA program with an expected graduation date by spring 2020
  • This role is not eligible for work visa sponsorship.

 

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferences):

  • Prior experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or management consulting
  • Pre-MBA work experience preferred
  • Strong critical and entrepreneurial thinking skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills
