Midven is a well-established venture capital firm based in Birmingham and operating across the UK, though a majority of its operations are in the West Midlands. Midven’s venture capital funds are focused on investing in small and medium sized enterprises with a particular emphasis on early stage and technology businesses. Midven employs multiple graduates each year and has an established graduate recruitment programme.
The Graduate Investment Analyst will predominantly work supporting the relevant Investment Directors in their day to day activities. The work could be assisting portfolio companies, adding value and assisting the Investment Directors position the companies for exit, or it could be helping to find new opportunities for equity investments in local high growth businesses. The Candidate will be expected to use their initiative to help Midven and its funds achieve their goals.
Responsibilities will include

- Producing analyst reports on the progress of each current portfolio company, its market position and any potential acquirers;
- Attending portfolio board meetings, adding value to strategy;
- Assisting with various administrative duties or matters relating to other funds we manage, such as communicating with the investors in our funds;
- Assist in the preparation of investment proposals and company due diligence prior to investment;
- Supporting the team in fund tender programs.

- Previous work experience;
