Microsoft’s Corporate Development group is a small team of deal professionals that sources, evaluates and executes acquisitions, divestitures, strategic investments, joint ventures and partnerships for Microsoft. The team interacts regularly with Microsoft’s senior leadership team, including frequent discussions with the company’s CEO and CFO. The team is looking for highly motivated merger and acquisition professionals with a passion for technology.

This role will play an integral role in charting the future direction of Microsoft through participation in landscape-defining transactions. They will join an accomplished team of individuals with MBAs and JDs who have extensive M&A experience from leading investment banks, private equity firms, consulting firms and corporations.
This role will immediately lead small and medium-sized deals and play a key role on small teams evaluating larger transactions.
For any given deal, the person in this role will lead valuation, deal structuring and negotiation of term sheets and definitive agreements and play a vital role in upfront idea generation, strategic evaluation and business planning, coordination of financial, tax and legal due diligence, and post-close integration planning.
They will also interface with the investment banking, venture capital and startup communities and will work on special projects for Microsoft business group executives to evaluate new business opportunities.
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Three to five years combined work experience from a top-tier investment bank, consulting firm, private equity firm and/or venture capital firm.
- Experience in merger and acquisition transactions or control equity investments with technology exposure a plus.
- Personal integrity, initiative, and the ability to work as part of a team in an environment that demands excellence is imperative.
