Startup Scout/Venture Analyst (m/f/d)
Your Tasks and responsibilities:
- Screening and scouting of startups, technology trends and digital business models
- Building relations with leading B2B startups, attracting attention to the KION Digital Hub
- Creating and maintaining a deal pool / startup database with relevant potential investment targets or cooperation partners
- Evaluating investment or partner opportunities for the KION Group and tracking success in realising these opportunities
- Supporting the further development of the KION Digital Hub across a range of other tasks and helping grow the organization
What you bring to the table:
- General technical knowledge and deep understanding where/how technology or new business models can create opportunities
- Track record of successful cooperation with startups and development of partnerships
- Great network to the startup ecosystem, preferably in the B2B / logistics sphere
- Exposure to venture capital environment and working knowledge of valuation techniques and basic financial analyses of companies
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills combined with a quick grasp of complex issues
- Great self-starter and ability to work independently
- Ability to communicate effectively with startups and in a corporate setting
- Willingness to travel and enthusiasm to represent the KION Group in the startup ecosystem
- University degree in business or technical field
- Fluent in German and English
