Doosan Bobcat Inc, the global leader compact construction equipment, is embarking on creating new products, services, and businesses that can adapt new and emerging technologies. In order to accomplish this, Bobcat is looking to create partnerships and business relationships with start-ups and other firms that can provide expertise in helping to apply new technologies and develop these solutions or businesses. Doosan Bobcat is conducting research on providers and firms in the identified technology areas as well working with a corporate venture capital firm to help identify other potential partners.
The primary role of the investment/venture capital analyst is to conduct research, thorough analysis, and provide recommendations for investment in start-up companies, third party providers, and emerging technologies that align with Bobcat and Doosan’s long-term vision of creating new products, services or businesses that enhance our global market position.
Role & Responsibility
Screen/Identify Potential Partners

- Help identify firms that fit pre-determined criteria of targeted technology areas
- Deal screening: call and/or meet with prospect companies, evaluate potential fit
- Documentation: summarize call notes and research information
- Gather information from the target company and industry experts
- Network with peers working with other Venture Capital Firms
- Main point of contact for any partner startup, VC, or related research firm
Research, Evaluate and Analyze Potential partners

- Research and talk to existing references and customers of the target company
- Research potential competitors to the target company
- Assist the technical team to evaluate the target company’s technology including IPs
- Conduct background checks on the current management of the target company
- Provide recommendations based on thorough research and evaluation
Modeling, Reporting Documentation

- Support finance function to perform valuation analysis/modelling
- Prepare internal documentation and required presentation materials and assist in presentation to Senior management
- Assist in any due diligence
Job Requirement
- Education Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, business administration, applied mathematics, statistics, economics or related field. (MBA preferred)
- Experience Required: 1-3 years of investment or strategy experience (VC, investment banking, private equity or business partnerships)
- Travel Required: 30-50%
- Outstanding analytical skills, detail-oriented, proactive and self-motivated
- Strong knowledge of Excel including advanced function
- Experience with cash flow modeling and investment valuation techniques
- Ability to produce well designed professional looking Powerpoint presentations
- Motivated and enthusiastic self-starter who works on own initiative with light supervision
- Confident and positive, high-energy, cultured, capable of easily interacting with senior management
- Flexible and willing to get involved in many different aspects of the business as required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
