We are seeking an Investment Analysis Senior Consultant as a group leader for the Investment Analysis (IA) group.
IA is a group of highly qualified subject matter experts (SMEs) performing financial and economic analyses encompassing Saudi Aramco’s (the Company’s) capital program. The group is part of the Portfolio and Decision Support Department in the Strategy and Market Analysis Organization. The Group Leader of Investment Analysis will serve as a key advisor to corporate management, as well as other organizations within the Company, on various financial and economic issues related to the Company’s investment opportunities in the oil and gas production (upstream), as well as the oil refining, petrochemicals, power, distribution, and marketing (downstream) business sectors.
Minimum Requirements:
As the successful candidate, you will hold Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline; an advanced degree is highly desirable. You should have 15+ years of relevant and progressive experience in the energy industry, including at least 5 years of experience in economics and planning functions.
You will have mastery and understanding of the economic and business factors related to the energy industry with proven success applying the knowledge in the evaluation of business opportunities.
You should have professional competency in areas of expertise through personal study, relevant and expanding work experience, seminars, professional contacts, and extension courses.
You will have an in-depth understanding of various modeling techniques and methodologies related to economic analysis and planning.
You will have the ability to effectively communicate complex technical and commercial concepts in a clear and succinct manner to individuals and groups from diverse professional backgrounds.
You should be capable of recognizing and reconciling conflicting views and interests across different organizations.
You should have a proven ability to quickly build and maintain positive and effective networks with internal and external stakeholders of all organizational levels.
You should have a proven ability to develop a positive, effective, and collaborative rapport with corporate management, coworkers, and stakeholders, using tact and diplomacy.
You should have ability to effectively coach and mentor multinational junior staff.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide expert advice and guidance, by way of thorough analysis, on the Company’s investment opportunities and on the appropriateness of the overall capital investment program.
Provide expert judgment on queries from management involving the economic and business issues of investments proposals and existing businesses.
Analyze the business case of the investment opportunities by performing strategic, economics, market, and risk assessments.
Evaluate projects individually and prioritizes alternatives and trade-offs as part of the portfolio of opportunities.
Support the Treasury Department in the financial structure of capital investment opportunities.
Conduct reviews of industry business developments, trends, and economics.
Advise other departments within the Company on energy markets and outlooks, economic evaluations, pricing, and international energy policies and regulations, besides assisting in business planning and strategy formulation.
Represent the Company at relevant internal and external conferences and seminars, preparing and delivering presentations on subjects related to the energy sector.
Build and maintain strong relationships with consultancies, industry experts, and best-in-class companies, keeping abreast of energy market developments, which could affect the Company’s competitive performance.
Coordinates the analysis and activities of 10 SMEs.
Assists in the training, coaching, and mentorship of junior staff.
