Responsibilities:
- Manage the pipeline for potential acquisitions
- Compile detailed industry and company analysis
- Build financial models and valuations
- Prepare key investment outputs e.g. offer letters, heads of terms, investment papers
- Lead due diligence activities
- Support the ongoing integration after the transaction is closed
- Business development activities including identifying potential opportunities
Qualifications:
- 2-7 years’ experience at an investment bank (M&A), venture capital or private equity firm
- Strong academics (BS or MS) from a top-tier university in a quantitative field
- Exceptional execution exposure (ability to run 80% of the execution autonomously)
- Exposure to the healthcare, pharma or biotech sector
- Experience negotiating drug licensing agreements is a huge plus
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong technical skills (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to understand financial statements and build financial models e.g. DCFs
- Ability to work with a range of stakeholders, from entrepreneurs to corporates
- Very strong project management and organisational skills
- Ability to develop, coach and motivate junior members of the team
- Good knowledge of current affairs, business and markets
- Interpersonal skills, particularly negotiation
- Able to work across multiple functions and geographies (e.g., US and non-US)
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
- Effective delegation of responsibility and authority, as needed
- Strong time management, interpersonal and organizational skills
