Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain technical financial models and perform analyses that support strategic initiatives including mergers & acquisitions, joint venture divestitures and other investment opportunities
- Assist in the deal process for any merger, acquisition, divestiture, or other strategic opportunities including meeting with the key counterparts (banks, brokers, target senior management), drafting memorandum and coordinating with internal stakeholders
- Track and analyze company performance and valuation metrics relative to peer group
- Communicate current market environment and competitors outlook to senior management and the Board of Directors
- Analyze competitive landscape including market specific developments, supply/demand dynamics and macroeconomic factors in support of Strategy, Marketing and Operations groups
- Provide assistance to the Chief Financial Officer as well as other members of Finance and Accounting senior management as needed
- Coordinate with FP&A to align competitor models to internal company assumptions for comparable assets. Help in managing the corporate five year financial model and corresponding deliverables
- Support the organization’s development of budget, outlook and other short term planning requirements
- Gather and prepare information for Board meetings
- Other duties as assigned
- Minimum of 2 years in a similar role in a business of similar size and complexity
- Experience in Corporate Planning, Investment Banking, or other similar exposure
- Energy industry experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university (in Finance or other business degree) requires
- Masters or CFA preferred
- Excellent financial modeling skills with keen attention to detail
- Understanding of equity and debt capital markets
- Understanding of shareholder value
- Ability to manage and effectively prioritize time-sensitive projects
- Ability to communicate complex ideas in clear and concise manner
- Must work effectively across all levels of the organization with limited oversight
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel required (experience with PowerPoint, Thomson One and Bloomberg preferred but not required)

- Maintain flexible attitude and approach towards assignments and successfully operate under ambiguous guidelines.
- Able to maintain regular and acceptable attendance
- Available and willing to travel to such locations and with such frequency as determined necessary to meet business needs
- PC proficiency required – competency with Microsoft Office Software suite version 2007 or greater
