The Managing Director – Investments plays a primary role in the sourcing, selection, management and oversight of the University’s investments in all public and private securities.
The candidate will be a key decision-maker and will participate in the vast majority of the key investment decisions for the University’s $4.3B endowment. For investment sourcing and evaluation, the primary area of focus will be global Venture Capital and Buyouts. The incumbent will periodically present at quarterly Investment Committee meetings and act as a mentor to more junior members of the investment team.
Qualifications:
Post graduate education and/or CFA designation is strongly preferred. Demonstration of managerial/team leadership capabilities is essential. Requires a minimum of ten (10) years of related financial/investment industry experience; skills in both written and oral communication; knowledge of investment concepts in a broad range of asset classes; and proficiency with various Microsoft products, including Excel and Word. Deep knowledge of illiquid equity strategies, such as Venture Capital and Buyouts, is strongly preferred.
