We are seeking a Managing Partner for our alumni venture capital fund that will invest in companies led by or associated with John Hopkins alumni. Our organization, Launch Angels (www.launch-angels.com), currently operates similar alumni funds at Dartmouth, Harvard, Yale, and MIT. We have a tested playbook, processes, staff, and proprietary systems to help you raise, invest, and successfully manage a fund. We are private, for profit, and not part of any school.
Like its sister funds, Stoney River Ventures will target alums who are looking to easily create a venture portfolio of high-potential companies and connect with fellow alums around a common interest. The funds are an evergreen opportunity, with a successive fund being raised every year, with additional opportunity for co-investment across the Launch Angels platform.
This is a full-time position located in our Philadelphia area office. In addition to the strong support of the Launch Angels executive and administrative team, you will be backed up by a salaried Vice President in deal sourcing and diligence, as well as fellows and interns we help you recruit.
