Investment Principal VC Job at Next World in San Francisco

Next World (LinkedIn, CrunchBase, AngelList) is an international investment firm founded in 2008. The firm focuses on long-term growth strategies, with its main activities in Venture Capital and Private Equity. Headquartered in San Francisco with additional offices in London and Paris, Next World brings a deep understanding of both US and European markets and an ability to support the international development of companies in both regions.

In 2015, the firm started Next World Evergreen Fund (NWEF), a $400 million diversified evergreen growth equity fund with a global focus. The fund takes a thematic approach, its core investment themes are specialty retail, consumer brands and resource efficiency. Typical investment size will be around $20m but can go up to $80 million. The fund has already made active investments in the premium tea, cosmetic retail, and renewable energy sectors. Given its evergreen structure, NWEF leverages a long investment horizon to provide a path of long-term sustainable growth for its portfolio companies.

The fund already has active investments: two investments in the sector of premium tea (Mighty Leaf Tea, Smith Teamaker), one in cosmetic retail (Credo), and one in the renewable energy sector (EREN RE).

Next World is now looking to grow the NWEF team with the addition of an Investment Principal to help continue to evaluate and execute investment opportunities in the consumer retail space. The firm is seeking an executive with strong business due diligence, transaction execution skills and investing DNA. The Principal will use his/her experience and knowledge of business diligence and execution to support Next World’s investment activities in the consumer/retail space.
