The Investments Analyst 2/3, reports to the Manager, Investments and supports the development, evaluation, implementation and oversight of private market investment strategies for the assets of the employee benefit plans of Northrop Grumman Corporation. Investment strategies include buyouts, growth capital, venture capital, real estate, distressed debt and special situations.
Responsibilities for the Analyst 2 position will include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain industry knowledge of private market investment strategies, investment management firms and capital market developments.
- Assist in evaluating appropriate investment strategies for the private markets portfolio.
- Meet with existing investment managers to review investment strategy, performance, investment process, organization and other topics as appropriate.
- Support due diligence efforts on new investment opportunities.
- Prepare presentations and participate in briefings to senior management and other internal stakeholders.
- Manage operational responsibilities required to oversee the private markets portfolio.
Responsibilities for the Analyst 3 position will include all of the above duties, but with the following modifications:
- Shared responsibility for determining appropriate investment strategies for the private markets portfolio.
- Ability to take lead on assigned projects.
- Deliver presentations and briefings to senior management and other internal stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications for the Analyst 2 position:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience. Public Accounting, and/or investment banking experience IF directly relevant may count for up to an additional year of experience for each year of relevant experience.
- Ability to travel.
Basic Qualifications for the Analyst 3 position:
- Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience. Public Accounting, and/or investment banking experience IF directly relevant may count for up to an additional year of experience for each year of relevant experience.
