This is a unique opportunity to join Visa’s Venture Program, which makes equity investments in early-stage technology startups. As part of Visa’s global Innovation & Strategic Partnerships team, the Venture Program functions as Visa’s in-house venture capital arm.
Visa’s Venture Program evaluates opportunities from around the globe, with the goal of finding investment and partnership opportunities that help Visa gain early access to emerging technologies and business models. In this role, you will work with venture capital firms, accelerators, entrepreneurs, Visa’s regional innovation centers and internal stakeholders to identify and source early-stage startups that align with Visa’s strategic interests and investment themes.
You will also have the chance to help refine Visa’s strategic focus areas. You will help perform due diligence on investment deals, coordinating with entrepreneurs, other investors, and Visa stakeholders. You will also have the opportunity to manage Visa’s relationships with our portfolio companies, including strategic engagements that may result in pilots, proofs of concept, or commercial deals.
The ideal candidate will have strong quantitative and analytical skills, coupled with an intuitive understanding of software/technology products, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with the payments ecosystem is a plus.
