The Strategy Director is based at Flex’s headquarters in San Jose, CA. and will work with senior company executives on strategic initiatives and M&A.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:
- Work with Senior Management on the identification and prioritization of strategic issues on an on-going basis
- Manage relationships with senior executives and ensure support of their strategic agenda
- Collaborate closely with key business group leaders to support decisions and evaluate potential business opportunities
- Lead completion of high-quality business, market, and competitor analysis; help identify and assess existing and new market initiatives
- Apply creative problem-solving skills, communicate insights and synthesize conclusions into recommendations
- Develop and deliver impactful presentation materials (i.e., Microsoft PowerPoint)
- Mentor and develop junior team members
- Take leadership for specific strategic initiatives at the top of the strategic agenda, including potentially:
- Growth strategy – market assessment and prioritization, new growth ideas/products, business cases, criteria for decision, go-to-market strategy, risks, business planning
- Externally facing macro, market, and competitor analysis
- Merger and acquisition strategy, capability and gap assessment, target screening and outreach, due-diligence and integration support
- Venture and strategic investment evaluation and management
- Pricing – market/competitor review, pricing models
- Sales enablement – market assessment and focus areas, priority customers, case studies/sales materials
- Organization structure and organizational change – best practice sharing, project management
- Cost transparency – cost analysis, benchmarking, process review
Here is some of what you’ll need (required):
- 6+ years work experience with 3+ years of work experience with a top-tier strategy consulting firm
- MBA from a top-tier national university
- Bachelor’s degree with exceptional academic performance at a top tier national university with educational focus on business, engineering, economics, or other quantitatively oriented major
- Experience managing small teams of highly talented strategy professionals
- Experience leading enterprise-wide strategic initiatives and transformation in a corporate setting
- End-to-end understanding of the strategy development process and hypothesis-driven problem solving
- Advanced quantitative aptitude and problem solving capabilities; ability to prioritize workflow and manage multiple projects with minimal direction
- Strong team player with excellent relationship and leadership capabilities
- Ability to work across multiple industries / markets and on a variety of business problems
- Entrepreneurial mindset

- Experience with automotive, consumer electronics, cloud computing, hardware / software / networks, industrials, manufacturing, medical, and/or renewable energy / clean-tech
- Experience with corporate, sales, operations, M&A and org strategy
